A Solo Moto-Trip to Sindhuli.

Taking A Rest.

After giving my second last exam, I had an intense desire to do a solo ride on my Royal Enfield classic-350. After having my bike serviced, I mustered essential gears into my backpack and stayed calm for my adventure the following day. I thought of making Sindhuli, Nepal my destination, although I wanted to extend few hundred kilometers not thinking about my destination. I wanted it to be just me and the bike, cruising through the mountain road, experiencing everything that comes along. I wanted it to be an escape from humdrum and making a story for myself.

Snaking down the Highways stopping in little towns along the way where the tourists never come to, this is the freedom of having your motorcycle here

I am fervently in love with the highway and the thudding engine. If I thought of doing something I do it, crazy isn’t it? That day I thought of doing a solo ride- some 140 km- as I longed to extricate myself from mundane life- although it is not that dull as well. The fear of making to the destination perfectly balanced the joy brought by the journey.

I ride to feel free and to feel strong.

Every turn I made was probabilistic, every gear I shifted was a choice that could have turned into a chaos. What I realized finally is, although there is a part of adrenaline rush inside me, every milestones were the tranquilizers; the aroma of the forest, settlements, river, fields, mud and dust were the intangible friends I had throughout my ride. This is what I adore about highways, and someday I would love to extend it to thousand of kilometers- where I could see more, feel more and breathe more.

The road I took is, B.P highway. It is the shortest route that links Kathmandu to eastern Terai Region of Nepal.

You get to see SunKoshi (pronounced as SoonKoshi) river along the road once you cross Bhakundey, a small settlement along the way.

This highway is popular for it Snaking route, which might cause most traveler to go dizzy.
You might want to stop at Mulkot or Khurkot to have your lunch as the Hotel provides fresh fish-dishes from the SoonKoshi  river.

"Don't Let the fear of what could happed make nothing happen."
