Today is 2nd January, 2016. In course of Exploring more about Kritipur, I went to worship Bagh Bhairab, one of the most popular Temple in Kritipur, which is at the height of 1405 m from the sea level. This temple, as suggested by locals, is dedicated to the God Bhairab in the form of Tiger. This God, Bhairab is regarded as the guardian of Kritipur and is terrifying form of Lord Shiva. The present three storeyed Temple of Bagh Bhairab is built around 16th century. We can see many sculptures of God and Goddesses around the main Temple. This temple lies within an area of 1500 square meter. We should climb several concrete ladder steps to reach the Temple. It is an interesting and beautiful place to visit, from where we can see entire view of Kathmandu Valley. Also, We can see Reflection of Newari Culture around the Temple. Local people, mostly Old man and Women, gather together and talk about their daily household work and interest. Some Old man gather together and play cards.
